Our Story
All-Comers Track Club was founded on the belief that great running performance is built through thoughtful, individualized coaching — not generic plans or mileage alone. With over 19 years of experience in the fitness industry and extensive experience coaching track & field and cross country athletes, my approach is grounded in proven training principles, athlete development, and long-term success.

I work with youth athletes, high school runners, and adults who want to train with purpose — whether they are new to the sport or striving to compete at a higher level.
Meet the Coach
I’m Declan, a coach with a background that spans both performance training and endurance sport. I’ve been working as a coach and personal trainer since 2006 and have coached athletes across a wide range of ages and abilities, helping them improve speed, endurance, mechanics, and overall confidence in their training.
My experience includes years in the fitness industry combined with hands-on coaching in track & field and cross country. This blend allows me to look at athletes holistically — not just as runners, but as individuals with unique strengths, limitations, and goals.

Coaching Philosophy
I believe effective coaching requires a holistic approach. Performance is not built through mileage alone — it is the result of how well all components of training work together.

At All-Comers Track Club, coaching extends well beyond running workouts. Training incorporates proper biomechanics, strength and movement quality, breath work, and recovery strategies to support efficient, resilient athletes. Just as important is the mental side of performance — including confidence, focus, visualization, and the psychological tools needed to train and compete with intention.

By addressing both the physical and mental demands of the sport, athletes are better equipped to improve performance, reduce injury risk, and sustain long-term progress. The goal is not simply to run more, but to run better — with clarity, purpose, and confidence.
A Holistic Approach to Performance

Training at All-Comers Track Club is built around the understanding that athletes are whole systems, not just weekly mileage totals.

Key pillars of coaching include:

-
Intelligent run training tailored to the individual
-
Proper biomechanics and movement efficiency
-
Strength training to support durability and power
-
Breath work to improve efficiency and control
-
Mental and psychological skills, including visualization and focus
-
Recovery strategies that support consistency and longevity

This approach allows athletes to train with intention while minimizing burnout and unnecessary setbacks.
